African Citizen’s Empowerment Foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organization. It is a membership organization that comprises of youth organizations, Widow Groups, Orphan & Vulnerable children Groups and Faith-Based Organizations that are either engaged or interested in development work across Africa.

It has the main goal of promoting the empowerment of its members by assisting them in development work which is the mandate of ACEF. It intends to serve all her member across Africa in wholistic development work. ACEF was registered on 22nd January, 2009 and begins full operation in January, 2011


  • Transparency: Activity is conducted in the most transparent manner to the knowledge of all stakeholders
  • Accountability: All members take part in decision-making process
  • Commitment, Ownership & Sustainability: Commitment and ownership must ensure an enduring continuity of benefits carried on by the people themselves
  • Wholistic development: the facilitative role of members in community wholistic development


  • To provide food, clothes, relief materials for widows, orphans & vulnerable children and distressed people
  • To lobby legislators and other law enforcing agencies to promulgate laws that will protect the social and economic rights of the less privilege in our society
  • To raise awareness on the spread of HIV/AIDs, Malaria, Tuberculosis and Reproductive Health, and provide affiliate organizations with opportunities to deliver quality health services in their communities
  • To provide entrepreneurship training & mentorship in business development for youths and widows; and collaborate with development agencies to provide small credit facilities for them
  • To promote co-operation and partnership between development agencies and other development bodies (NGOs, CBOs, and FBOs)
